Preliminary studies - G1 (ES - PGC)

The NF P 94-500 norm has been revised and is practical since November 2013. ALIOS Ingénierie owns human and material resources and also skills to intervene as part of geotechnical engineering missions G1 to G5 whose the new definition are as follow:

The chain of the geotechnical engineering missions (step 1 to 3) must follow the development and the realization steps of any projects to contribute to the geological risks control. The client or his representative has to make realized successively each of these missions by a geotechnical engineering. Each mission is based on a specific geotechnical investigation from appropriate geotechnical investigation.

STEP 1: PRELIMINARIES GEOTECHNICAL STUDIES (G1)
This mission excludes any quantity approach, geotechnical work execution deadline and costs that fall within a mission of the project geotechnical study (step 2). It is paid by the client or his representative.
It comprises two phases:
Site Study Phase (ES)
It is realized ahead of a preliminary study, outline stage or APS (Preliminary Design) for a first geological risk identification of the site.
- To do a documentary inquiry in the geotechnical framework of the site and the presence around with a site and surrounding visit.
- To define, if needed, a specific geotechnical investigation program, to realize it or to ensure the technical monitoring, use the results.
- to provide a report giving for the studied site a preliminary geological model, the principle geotechnical characteristic and a first identification of major geotechnical risks.

General Principles of Building Phase (PGC)
It is realized at the preliminary study, outline stage or APS (Preliminary Design) to reduce the consequences of important geological risks identified. It is obligatory based on adapted geotechnical data.
- To define, if needed, a specific geotechnical investigation program, to realize it or to ensure the technical monitoring, use the results.
- To provide a geotechnical data synthesis report at this study level (first approach of geotechnical influence zone (ZIG), potential supporting soil layer and also some general principle of possible construction (especially foundations, excavation work, buried work, soils improvement).
